Hey Georgetown, You're officially liberated from laundry!

You can reach them with questions or concerns M-F, 7:30am-8pm

 

  • WHEN DOES MY LAUNDRY GET PICKED UP?
    • 1x/week service: Your residence hall is scheduled for a specific day each week. Here's that schedule:
      • Monday: Harbin, LXR (Loyola, Ryder, Nevils)
      • Tuesday: Darnall, Arrupe, Copley
      • Wednesday: New South, Village C
      • Thursday: Quad

     

    • Every-other week plan: your laundry will be picked up on the days listed above during your color-coordinated week:
      • Blue Week: LXR, Arrupe, Copley, Village C.
      • Gray Week: Harbin, Darnall, New South, and Quad.
      • Service will begin with Blue Week on September 5th. For the complete Fall 2017 schedule, click here.

     

    • 2x/week service:
      • We will pick up your laundry on Mondays and Thursdays each week.

     

    • On your Laundry Day, you must have your laundry at your Laundry Delivery Station by 10:00am.
      • Sorry, no exceptions. There may be changes due to holidays, which we'll inform you about via email.

     

  • WHERE DOES MY LAUNDRY GET PICKED UP
    • Each Residence Hall has a designated pick-up location, or as we've named it: "Laundry Delivery Station". There, you will find a sign and a Wash Cycle Laundry bin. Simply leave your bag in this bin and we'll pick it up. Find your hall in the list below, and next to it are the details about your Laundry Delivery Station.
      • Alumni Square: Drop off at LXR, Loyola Hall lobby
      • Copley: Elevator Room
      • Darnall: Second Floor, near elevator
      • Harbin Hall: Lobby Vestibule
      • Henle: At Darnall, Second Floor, near elevator
      • Leavey Hotel: Third Floor Supply Room
      • Loyola Hall (LXR): Loyola Hall lobby
      • Kennedy: Lobby
      • McCarthy Hall: Kennedy Lobby
      • New South: First floor, Near Elevator
      • Reynolds: Kennedy Lobby
      • Ryder (LXR): Loyola Hall lobby
      • Village A: New South, First floor, Near Elevator
      • Village C East and Village C West: Village C East, Near Mailboxes
      • Xavier Hall (LXR): Loyola Hall Lobby
  • Having trouble finding your Delivery Station? Contact Customer Care!
    Delivery Station locations and service days/times are subject to change. In the event of any changes, students will be notified via email provided upon sign-up.

    • You can leave your laundry as early before your pick-up time as you'd like (in case you don't have an early class and want to drop your laundry off the night before.) However, Wash Cycle Laundry is not responsible for your items when they are not in our possession. We've worked with Georgetown to find secure Laundry Delivery Stations, so we don't expect this to be an issue.

     

  • WHEN & WHERE DOES MY LAUNDRY GET RETURNED? 
    • Everything comes back the next day, that is the day after your pick-up day. You can find your laundry bag at the Laundry Delivery Station by 7pm.

     

  • WHAT DO I PUT MY LAUNDRY IN (DO I GET A LAUNDRY BAG)? 
      • We will provide you with an orange Wash Cycle Laundry bag to use for all wash & fold orders. This bag is specifically for the 2017-18 Academic year.

     

      • All bags will be placed at your delivery station by Friday, September 1 for the start of service the following week.

     

      • If you have placed your order AFTER the start of the semester, here's how bags will work:
        • Bring your laundry in a trash bag or your own laundry bag to your Laundry Delivery Station. Make sure it is clearly labeled with the word LAUNDRY and your name. We will transfer laundry into a Wash Cycle Laundry bag, which you'll continue to use for future orders.
          • Do not use a laundry bag from another laundry company. To avoid confusion, we won't pick up laundry in a bag that has a different company's name on it.

     

    • A few additional notes on bags:
      • We will only pick-up laundry in the orange Wash Cycle Laundry bag. If you give us your laundry in another kind of bag or receptacle, we won't take it.  (The exception being new orders placed the day before Laundry Day.)
      • If you don't have a Wash Cycle Laundry bag, contact Customer Care.
      • We expect this bag to last you all year. If you lose it, we reserve the right to charge you $5 for a new bag.
      • Don't overstuff your bag! If your bag does not easily close, and there is laundry falling out of the top, we reserve the right not to pick it up. We have this rule so we don't lose your items in transit. You'll get an email from us if we've left your bag behind for this reason.

     

  • WHAT IF I MISS MY LAUNDRY TIME?
      • If you don't have your laundry at your Laundry Delivery Station by 10:00am, you'll have to wait until your next scheduled service.
      • If this happens, and you are on a once weekly or every other week plan, you can always upgrade to a weekly or twice weekly plan.

     

  • TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE LAUNDRY PROCESS.

      • This is a Wash & Fold service, meaning we put everything in washers and dryers. By using our service, you agree that your clothes are suitable to be washed in wash, on a normal cycle, and dried using heat in a tumble dryer.

     

      • Sorry, we don't have time to check your pockets. If you left something in your laundry (lipstick, chewing gum, or a pen), we cannot be held responsible for any damage to your clothing.

     

      • Everything is washed together, or in other words, we don't separate your items into different loads. If you have delicates, colors that will run, or something that will shed, we cannot be held responsible if this happens during our laundering process.

     

      • We welcome you to put a delicates bag in with your laundry, or send us all your white clothes on a specific week if you are worried about damage.

     

  • WHAT IF I NEED SOMETHING IRONED OR DRY CLEANED?
      • Pressed shirts and Dry Cleaning service are separate from your laundry plan. Should you decide that you want dry cleaning services, call Customer Care. We'll put a credit card on file and charge per item for any Dry Cleaning. The pick-up and delivery will happen the same day as your Wash & Fold Service, though sometimes Dry Cleaned items take longer than a day to return.       • If you have Dry Cleaning outside of your laundry day, you can take it to the Leavey Hotel Monday, Wednesday, or Friday by 12pm. More details on that aspect of our service can be found here.

     

      • Because Dry Cleaning is a totally separate process, if you ever want something Dry Cleaned and it ends up INSIDE your orange Wash Cycle Laundry bag, we cannot be held responsible if it goes through the regular laundry process.

     

  • WHAT IF SOMETHING IS MISSING?
    • We don't inventory every bag (it's very time consuming which would make this service cost-prohibitive), so we cannot be held responsible for lost items. However, if you do find that something is missing, please call Customer Care and report it within 24 hours. There's a good chance we can locate the item if we find out quickly. And of course, be sure to double-check the bottom of your bag or the back of your closet!

     

  • WHAT IF I'D LIKE A REFUND? 
      • We will honor refunds up until the start of your service. If you cancel before your first scheduled pick-up, we will refund the full amount of your package less a 3% credit card processing fee. Please contact Customer care if this is the case.

     

      • Once we've picked up your laundry or visited your dorm for the first time after service begins, there are NO refunds on the service for the semester or the year.

     

  • CAN I UPGRADE OR DOWNGRADE MY PLAN? 
      • If you've signed up for 1x/week service, you can upgrade to 2x/week service at any time. We will prorate this cost based on the remaining number of weeks in your plan

     

      • If you've signed up for 2x/week service, you cannot downgrade to 1x/week.

      • If you've signed up for the fall semester and want to upgrade to the full year, you may do so at any time.

     

    • WHAT IF I GIVE YOU TOO MUCH OR TOO LITTLE LAUNDRY?
      • With your Student Laundry Plan, there's no such thing! If you don't have laundry in a given week, that's ok. Just keep in mind there are no refunds or downgrades for using the service for less than your package allows.
      • If you give us a large amount of laundry, just make sure everything fits in your provided Wash Cycle Laundry bag. (See the note above about the dangers of overstuffing.) There's no additional charge just because your bag is heavy.

       

  • THIS IS SO AWESOME! MY FRIEND WANTS TO SIGN UP, TOO. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

    • Your friends, roommates, or nemeses can sign up for a Laundry Plan anytime during the semester. To do so, visit here and fill out the form.

     

  • THERE'S GOTTA BE SOME OTHER LEGAL STUFF, RIGHT?
    • Of course. By using our service, you are subject to all of these Terms and Conditions. Keep in mind some are different for Georgetown, but we've aimed to state all those changes here.
