How do you deliver laundry on a bicycle?

We have a flatbed trailer that attaches to the back of our bikes that's capable of carrying about 12-16 loads of laundry, or usually enough for about 8 customers at a time. Check out the section on our fleet if you want to see some great pictures of how this works.

Can I cancel anytime?
Yes! We won't lock you in to a long-term contract. You're free to cancel at any time for any reason.

What if I need to go out of town for a week? Can I change my day or skip a pick-up?

Yes! This is all about convenience. Just let us know about the change at least 24 hours ahead of time, and we can reschedule your pick-up or temporarily suspend your service.

Do you separate colors from whites? Etc?

Do you mix my clothing with the clothing of other customers?

In contrast to a lot of commercial washing services that bag customers' laundry and throw it into giant 100-200 lb machines, our practice is to put each customer's clothing in its own washing machine by itself. The only time a customer's laundry would be placed in the same washer as that of another customer is if a customer doesn't have enough laundry to make a decent-sized load. For example, if a customer gives us 16 pounds of colored clothing and a single white t-shirt, we may put the single white t-shirt in a mesh laundry bag tagged with the customer's name, and thow it into a washing machine with other customers' white clothes also in their own mesh bags. Every customer's clothing is always dried in its own drier.

How do I know you won't lose my clothes?

You can trust our record. Since we started operations in October 2010, we've processed over 15,000 pounds of laundry through our facility. To date, the only items of laundry customers have reported missing that we have been unable to recover were a single white pillowcase and a dish towel. That's over 99.999% reliability by weight. We are human, and we don't always get everything right the first time, but we take it very, very seriously when a customer can't find his or her clothes.

Okay, that's a pretty good record... but what if my clothing is the third piece of laundry that you lose?

The most important thing is to report the loss to us as soon as possible so we can track your laundry down. If we can't find the item reported missing, we'll do our best to come up with a solution that makes you happy. The exact rules are governed by our terms of service.

I like my ____ folded in a very specific way. Can you accommodate that?

We can definitely try! On the sign-up sheet, enter any special instructions into the "Laundry Instructions" box. Usually, we can accommodate special requests. On occassion, special folding requests that take a extra time for our staff to fulfill will carry an extra fee -- we'll always let you know ahead of time to get your approval.

Is there really that much of an ecological benefit to doing laundry in a more sustainable way?

Everybody says they're green these days. Are you guys really that green? Or are you just "greenwashing" (pun intentended)?

There's a lot of hype out there, but green is in our DNA. For us, it's more important to be transparent about the steps that we take rather than use marketing generalities. You can read about the exact status of our environmentally-friendly operations in the About Us section.
